  • Starting in the 19th century with doctors performing abortions, My slideshows  will follow the history of abortion in the United States—moving through the legalization in Roe v. Wade, the expansion of Planned Parenthood, and ending with the Dobbs Decision and a dystopian future where abortion is banned, population increase rises, and demonstrations in an apocalyptic America.

Panel/Slide Breakdown:

Medical Scene of the 19th Century: A doctor performs an abortion covertly, and social attitudes are tense

Roe v. Wade (1973): The court grants women the right to choose and legalizes abortion

Planned Parenthood Era: Clinics provide access to safe abortions; advancements in healthcare Dobbs Decision (2022): Roe is overturned; states descend into anarchy

Current Impact: Women of color and those with low incomes suffer from abortion restrictions or prohibitions.
